Our organisation is a cross experience between Dutch and Belgium founders Pieter Hoekstra and Filip de Pessemier. We understand that organisational (technology) improvement only works if people want to improve and if leaders create the right space for it.
But how do you make it happen?
We have worked in several international organisations in the business but also in the IT departments or “outside” as a supplier or consultant. We used best practices like ITIL® (Good Practise of UK Government Service Management and International ISO/IEC20.000 Standard), Quality Management, TQM, Lean, Cobit, Six Sigma and ISO Standards. And for project management we followed Prince2, PMBok or CMMI. We trained a lot of people, different countries and companies and also on different management levels.
So we found out it is not the document, the rule or the process that makes the difference. There is something more. So we invest in Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, Neuro-linquistic Programming, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Design Human Engineering, up to Enteric Nervous System. We master some specific tracks within our team and some of us are also Certified Trainer in the Critical Thinking and Problem Analysis methodes of Kepner & Tregoe.
We started with coaching in 1998, did evening classes Relationship Therapy with our earlier brand Strong Relations (Also a Suparel B.V.B.A. registered brand entity). We gave communication training and presentation techniques (check on youtube: Speechwell), Time Management and Setting Goals. And we did many years consulting, training and management work and became known in the Strategic Advisory of IT Outsourcing Business.
After finalizing the 2 year Group Dynamic program of Prof. Leopold Vansina of the Institute of Professional Development Programs (IPDP) in 2012 we formalized our method. During our earlier study in 2010 we found out that most of the classical advisory work was hardly accepted in organisations and most of the time not implemented at all. And when we did our research on training: large group of students often liked the material and the social aspect of the courses, but could not easily apply the good practices. Most of the books or binders never opened again after the course……..
So we founded Begrip and made our commitment, if we help an organisation, we will focus on people and we will promise that we will not solve their problem. We will only learn people why they do things in a specific way and show the benefits of doing it different. Today we help organisations with our combination of training and strategic project follow up, (which gives the word traject). You decide the strategic key elements; we only help to make it happen, by moving the people within a shared understanding to solution state.
