Perception by Pieter Hoekstra

Summary

This topic, Perception, is a part of our leadership and communication learning modules and it is also a key element for those that work with Insights Discovery.

perception1Pieter Hoekstra will touch different definities of Perception and let you experience what the meaningful function is of perception in a business perspective. Perception depends on complex functions of the nervous system, but subjectively seems mostly effortless because this processing happens outside conscious awareness.

Can we influence that process? Yes, it happens all time, mostly unconsious. What can you do to become more aware of this process and how powerfull is this in your daily business communication, and execution of your strategy? And how strong is your vision in line with the perception of the others?

With a few examples and also group exercises, the audience will experience easily what is going on in their mind.

Key Elements and practical business benefits:

  • Participants will easier recognize the two ways of perceiving the world.
  • The function of the filters
  • The link with emotions
  • Key techniques to become more aware of how you perceive
  • The 9 Tiles of Grip,
  • positioning yourself by better understanding the relations

Duration

Due to the program of the Atomium event this topic has been adapted and adopted to one hour to be in line with the UP principle of Ian Rowland and the Feedback topic of Filip De Pessemier.
